A PHOTOGRAPH THAT I LIKE

Since my whole life I've had great passion for the visual arts in general, considering painting, drawing, engraving, etc. Including with in them, the art of photography. Since I was little and I liked cameras capture images with meaning, images that express some emotion or communicate a deep idea.
Currently activity remains very attractive to me, I have my own camera, but the art of photography requires a lot of dedication, apart from a good team for me is still just a hobby, but I like to learn more deeply about the picture.
The photographs are unique, because they capture a momentary image and make it eternal, capture the moment through which it represents a whole. A photograph that I love so and because it contains a very particular history, is "the green-eyed girl", taken by Steve McCurry, in Pakistan, this appears a deep look Pashtun girl. Through his large green eyes the image expresses the wild look of the experiences of small, fearful, piercing, which airs threatening wild animal.
Steve McCurry after the capture of those eyes only, is given the task of searching for that unique look that swept the world, finally managed to find and get that look again crystallize, but now with the inevitable deterioration of life and years . The image of this girl (Sharbat Gula) is well known worldwide because it represents the lives of thousands of kids from this area of the world, who are punished for the horror of war, famine and death.
Sharbat Gula Today is back to anonymity. "She will not give any interviews to the media and do not want contact with her." Asked if Sharbat would benefit financially from her famous image, National Geographic said, "are taking care of it."
Today National Geographic Society maintains a development aid fund and the education of Afghan women and children in his honor.

How green are you?

Actually all the people talk about the environment. The politicans and celebrities do things to take care of nature.
The people learn about the  environmentally friendly practices in the school, in the university and with public policy. I think is necesary to advertise to the ways of caring for the environment. Some good ways to do this, are: the recycling, do not trow garbage on the street, the composting, using recyclable bags, etc.
I try to incorporated some environmentally friendly practices, in my habits. I never pull garbage on the street or in the ground. In the University I always try to pull trash in landfills according to the material for making up the waste. Also, i try to use the organic waste to make compost.
I sometimes use bike, but for me is difficult, because I live very far away from the university and the places to which I visit repeateadly. But I always travel by public trasnport.
In the past I try to joined and supported in GREENPEACE, but there were too many people who want joined, so they tell me that in the future if need more people they would call me. But it never happend.
I like can recycle, but in this country there are not practice, the garbage truck finally takes the waste and stir everything. Also I try to  raise awareness to other people.
For to reduce my carbon footprint I try to send little energi (electricity), I try to use the public transport, use the bike, everything that I say previously.
In own city, Santigao, it’s necesarry take care whit the enviroment, for this is necesarry do public policy that do studys about this theme. The enviroment is very important, no just about the relation between human and nature, too becuase it affects our daily lives (the health, ther raw materials, etc)

Into The Wild

On this occasion, I am going to talk about the soundtrack of a movie called "Into The Wild". This film is based on a true story.
The theme is about Christopher "Alexander Supertramp" McCandless, a young man who decides to embark on an adventure closer to nature and wilderness. So, this young, aims to reach Alaska, traversing  much of the United States, living with different people and different landscapes. In the end Alexander realizes that the experiences are best enjoyed in company, but at this time and gets caught in the wild and dies alone in this place.
Into the Wild is the first solo studio album by Pearl Jam vocalist Eddie Vedder, and is based on his contributions to the soundtrack for the film Into the Wild (2007). It was released on September 18, 2007 through J Records. With this album, Vedder's songs help narrate the story of American wanderer Christopher McCandless.
Almost all songs written and composed by Eddie Vedder the track list is comprised of the following topics: Setting Forth, No Ceiling, Far Behind, Rise, Long Nights, Tuolumne, Hard Sun, Society, The Wolf and End of the road.
This movie and this soundtrack really like me, because it makes us think about how we live and our relationship with nature.

Poorest families left in the cold by energy suppliers

Government scheme to help with household bills reaches fewer than 3% of eligible families, says Save the Children

The poorest families from UK are not getting the help they need to heat their homes this winter from energy suppliers, because of a funding shortfall.
Save the Children is a national Government scheme that try to help to the poorest families from UK, but it had reached just 3% of families at risk of fuel poverty.
The principal reason of this funding deficit is because the energy companies do not want to contribute with money for state aid to the poorest population.
Some research shows that growing up in cold, damp homes can slow children's development, worsen long-term problems like asthma, and lead to rises in hospital admission rates. Due to severe funding deficit this government plan, the consequences that may result from this are very dangerous to the health of children.
About this Save the Children's chief executive officer Justin Forsyth said: "It is unacceptable that 97% of the UK's poorest families who need help heating their homes this winter will get nothing because energy companies have not put up nearly enough money.

It is incomprehensible that the companies take the decision of not to provide social assistance because it is not convenient for they in the business.

A Clockwork Orange

Hello
Now I’m going to talk about a very special film called “A Clockwork Orange”. This movie was directed by the famous Stanley Kubrick on 1971, and it’s based on a novel of Anthony Burgess published on 1962.
A Clockwork Orange tries about a young man called Alex. He with his band “The drugs” (Pete, Georgie y el Lerdo) drink milk with drugs that produce violence on they. Then the boys attack to much people. Alex quarrel with his band and kill a woman. He is condemned to prison for a long time. But some doctors do an experiment of psychology conditioning.
Thanks to this, Alex can be free, but he can’t adapt at the society, because everybody hate him for the attacks he do in the past. Finally Alex try to suicide and everybody think that he is the victim of the psychological experiment.
I like very much the film, because it’ very interesting, and it’ put the theme of the psychological experiments in discussion.
I think that the experiment limit the freedom of the protagonist, because it not change the thinking of Alex, but it condition his behavior.

Thailand
If I have got the money you need to go wherever I want, I would go to Thailand, because it’s a country very exotic, interesting and heavenly. Moreover it should be a place really interesting about culture, and it’s something very important for me in connection with the anthropology.
About Thailand I know that It is a country located at the centre of the Indochina peninsula and Southeast Asia, The official language is the Thai. And the Thailand’s culture has been traditionally iinfluenced for the China and India’s cultures.
Always I like the stranger things, and in Thailand must have very exotic things, considering since the nature, animals, vegetation, until the people, the culture and the customs.
The landscape of Thailand must be beautiful, full colors, heavenly. I imagine this place like the paradise. Whit wonderful beaches and the life must be moving, in the open air.
When I am anthropologist and I can travel to somewhere to make a study, the first place will be Thailand. I imagine people very interesting, with much relationship with the environment.
